Okay, I know I have been slow in updating lately, but we have not had a whole lot of excitement, so I gave you a little break :) As I write this at 2:30 am Sat. night, I am listening to my precious pug girl snoring and watching IRON CHEF AMERICA...I love these cooking shows! Dareck is at his friend, Nick's. He has been feeling well. Headaches are mostly gone and his fatigue is under control. I just chatted with Clint and he is doing well. It is still hot there but it is starting to cool off a bit, which helps. He is at a new base now. It is called Al-Kasik. Still in Northern Iraq, which is a good thing. And Randy had a great day at Six Flags in Ca. He and his buddies finally got to get up there and have some FUN for a change!
Last week, me and the girls from school went to the graduation of some former classmates. It was so nice to see everyone again. Congrats Graduates! I cannot believe it has been 4.5 months since our graduation...Val, Denita, we missed you! Amy, we will have to keep up with our weekly lunches...even tho those chimechangas are not in my diet! :) Danielle, howdy neighbor! Congrats on your new home! :)
I am staying up late tonight, trying to get myself geared up for my first night shift tomorrow.... I am giving nights a try....hard to pass up the extra money, plus I am sort of a night owl, so we will see how I do....Day or night, going back to the floor is a little scary. My last hospital was a looooooong time ago (1996-98) in Kingsville, Tx. I miss you girls! Wish you were here with me now. Oh boy, we had some fun! I am excited to get back to hands on nursing, but also know enough to know I have a right to be scared.....eeeeeeeeeeek!
As usual, this update is pretty long and includes a lot of pics...but it has been a long time so, we needed some fresh material. :)
I pray you are all well and happy. I think of you often and miss you all. Thank you for your prayers for us, especially Clint and Randy. They have had one heck of a year and I am convinced God has carried them (us) thru it all. I want to say a special CONGRATS to my Dad. He is now the Pastor of his own church! Way to go Pop! Clint's sister, Whitnie, is due any day now with baby #3. :) Heather, hang in there. Sis, you can do this. Chan, can't wait to see you Tues. : ) Paul, hope you are healing nicely. Markus, it will all work out. You did the right thing. Lynn, Nina, Gary, Kelsea, Renee', Betsy...HAPPY BIRTHDAY month. Joe and Suzanna....Happy love day! : ) Hope all of the kids (and parents) are adjusting to school. Betty Jean, you are all in my prayers.
Randy and Clint, we are holding down the fort for you. If all goes well, Clint will be home around Nov 30th (in time for my bday) and Randy will be home around Dec. 7th. I cannot wait for us all to be together again. Be safe, do your best and we will see you soon. I love you my sweets.
I think I covered all of my 'shout-outs.' I think of you all and pray for you daily. Happy Labor Day. I hope you can be with those you love...or at least like a whole heck of a lot! : )
Ciao for now,
Kathy :)
