Chandra, Clint and I will all turn the big 4-0 next year (2009). Tom was the first of us to reach this milestone in Oct. We came up with this plan to celebrate each of our big day with an adventure. The twist is that the birthday person does none of the planning and only knows when we are going and sometimes not even where. The other 3 make all the plans for meals, activities, birthday celebration, etc. For Tom, we planned a celebration at this cabin in W. Virginia. We set up a caving adventure and a mystery tour, all of his favorite meals, a 'what does Tom mean to me' gift...it was a celebration of his life and it was one faaaaaaaaaaaaantastic celebration. Now, we (Chan, Tom and I) are planning Clint's 40th Birthday Getaway Extravaganza in March. : )
